In 2009, when Shahrukh Khan was detained at New Jersey’s Newark International Airport for more than an hour, there was a  huge uproar in India . He was detained because of his surname ‘Khan’, and USA had to face accusations of racism. When he was again detained in 2011 for 90 minutes at White Plains airport near New York., then all hell broke loose and Indian Govt. and US embassy had to intervene in-order to avoid a huge diplomatic embarrassment. Even former President of India, Abdul J Kalam and Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan had to face undue security checks and delays at US Airports due to either their name, religion or nationality. Last year, India & USA decided to form a list of  2000 VVIPs  (Very Very Important Persons) so that such celebrities are not hassled at US airports. అమెరికాలో మొత్తం 4500 పైగా యూనివర్సిటీలు ఉన్నాయి. వీటిలో చేరే విద్యార్థులు ముందుగా పరిశోధన చేసి ప్రామాణికమైన యూనివర్సిటీలను ఎంచుకోవాలి. అంతేకాదు చదువుకోవడానికి అమెరికాకు వెళ్లే భారతీయ విద్యార్థులు వీసా నిబంధనలను ఎట్టి పరిస్థితుల్లోనూ అతిక్రమించ వద్దని చెబుతున్నారు ఎడ్యుకేషన యూఎ్‌సఏ నేషనల్‌ కో-ఆర్డినేటర్‌ రేణుక రాజారావు. హైదరాబాద్‌లోని రీజనల్‌ కో- ఆర్డినేటర్‌ పియా బహదూర్‌తో కలిసి హైదరాబాద్‌ బేగంపేటలో ఉన్న సెయింట్‌ ఫ్రాన్సిస్‌ కాలేజీలోని ‘అమెరికన్ కార్నర్‌’లో గురువారం విలేకరులతో మాట్లాడారు.   భారతీయ విద్యార్థులు ముఖ్యంగా తెలుగువాళ్ళు నెల రోజులుగా ఎదుర్కొంటున్న ఇబ్బందులను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని పలు సూచనలు చేశారు. ఉద్యోగం చేస్తూ చదువుకోవడం సాధ్యం కాదని ఆమె చెప్పారు. ఉద్యోగాలు చేసినా దాని ద్వారా వచ్చే డబ్బు ఫీజులు, వసతులకు అయ్యే ఖర్చులకు సరిపోతుందని చాలా మంది భావిస్తుంటారు. నిజానికి వారాని కి అత్యధికంగా 20 గంటలు పని చేయడానికి అనుమతి ఉంటుంది. అందరికీ 20 గంటల అనుమతి దొరకదు. అదీ యూనివర్సిటీ నుంచి అనుమతి తీసుకోవాలి. ఈ పనులకు పెద్దగా ఆదాయం ఉండదు. అందుకే విద్యార్థులు ఈ భావం నుంచి బయటపడాలన్నా

Acknowledging a major positive shift in the trajectory of US-India relations, US officials have appreciated India's efforts to promote new and renewable energy sources and India's commitment towards the climate and clean energy. Both sides also committed to explore new opportunities for co-operation during a meeting here on Tuesday between visiting Indian Minister of State of Power, Coal and New and Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal and US Secretary of State John Kerry. He will meet other prominent members of the US administration, including US Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, US Trade Representative Michael Froman and Nancy Pelosi, House Democratic leader. Goyal will also meet major energy sector investors to showcase business opportunities in India and India's tangible progress in the doing business environment, according to the Indian embassy.
