The 4 Best Tools For Internal Business Communication

Wave after improving wave of business comms platforms can confuse a founder. Let us help sort that out. We live in a digital age. As such, the working world is becoming an increasingly smaller place in which internal communication is conducted. And while we don’t use carrier pigeons or megaphones to transmit work-based messages, things could definitely be more effective. In fact, reports  Hyperlink InfoSystem  of our present-day situation, “Almost 15 percent of an employee’s time is spent in communication with co-workers, 20 to 25 percent in looking for business-related information and 20 percent checking messages and mailboxes.” Workplace communication crowds out work. The end result? If the above findings hold true, less than 50 percent of an employee’s working hours are actually productive. So yes, though our modern-day business environment has all but eliminated archaic forms of internal communication, there’s still plenty of room for improvement. Fortunately, a num

What Should You Expect in Mobile Technologies in 2017?

Almost every errands are in one way or the other attached to mobile phones and tablets and it the smoother, efficient and useful a technology or the service is, the better it is. The beginning of 2017 sees numerous trends that the mobile technology may foray into. Cloud Based Apps One of the most important and major advancement is in the development of clod based apps. This gives the developers a better scalability in the developing the application and also provides the users with better security of the data. A major chunk of data is stored on the cloud-based servers that are either hired on monthly basis or purchased and the entire storage of the data is done on the cloud servers. This technology has an upper hand over the advances that the mobile technology

5 Productivity Tools for Self-Employed Internet Entrepreneurs

Technology can offer you many helping hands. For many, working for themselves online is a dream come true. Not only are they able to choose clients, manage responsibilities and work how, when and where they want, but the overall sense of empowerment that comes through being their own boss is a feeling that’s second to none. In the words of Sir Isaac Newton, however, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” So, while working from the comforts of a home office in pajamas might seem like an irresistible offer, taking to the internet to make a living has its downsides, too. Why Team Input Is the Key to Successful Benefits Planning

To understand what benefits fantastic employees truly value, why not just ask 'em? Every entrepreneur knows how important employee engagement and retention are to the success of any growing company. You’ve probably read the data yourself about how much time and effort go into replacing a good employee; surveys describe a cost equating to  six to nine months  of that employee’s salary. You're probably aware that countless factors come into play in an employee’s decision to stay or move on -- including benefits and perks. In my experience growing my  content marketing agency , I found that benefits and perks themselves weren't the main reason employees choose to stay or leave to pursue other opportunities. Instead, what contributes significantly is the satisfaction they feel about their work, their long-term career-development opportunities and the support, respect and appreciation they receive from managers and co-workers. But the benefits offered matter, too. An

5 Ways to Validate a Business Idea, Right Now

Don't let your day job or lack of capital stop you from finding and testing a business idea. Here's how. Last year, I embarked upon a personal challenge to validate a business idea in 30 days . To make it even more difficult, it was a random idea chosen by my readers. They asked me to do it without using my existing website, traffic and business connections and without spending more than 20 hours per week on the project. On top of that, I limited myself to spending no more than $500 validating this idea. The experiment was a success . In just two weeks, I built an email list of 565 subscribers without having an actual website. Then, I reached out to a handful of those subscribers and pre-sold 12 copies of a book that didn't even exist yet, all in less than 30 days. I wrote about the experiment in real-time with in-depth weekly updates, successes, failures and lessons learned along the way,  right here in my validation challenge . Today, I want to share with
